What is 'Goyslop'? Just More Proof Tucker Carlson Is a Godless Antisemite
This isn't a dog whistle, this is a full-blown bullhorn from one of the internet's most popular bullshit salesman.

Tonight I chose to report to YouTube the above 10-minute video released yesterday by former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who has now chosen to wallow like a hog covered in its own filth in his role as America’s most mendacious, insidious, duplicitous, far-right antisemitic advocate. He seems to be really enjoying himself.
Here is how I did so and what I wrote:

Earlier this week I published this absurdly maximalist take-down of my former friend Ben Shapiro’s performative phoniness, prompted by his choice to publish a podcast advocating that law inforcement should arrest people such as myself, deny us our medicine, and imprison us in cages for our foolish choice to rot our brains by consuming cannabis every day as a method of treating our trauma:

I have now completed Alan Moore’s BBC Maestro course on storytelling and will next watch it again a second time. This is six hours of Moore laying out his writing approach on everything over the course of 33 lessons. I’ll detail some of my favorite points in a future piece.

One of the key concepts here is the literary tradition which grabbed me about Moore’s new prose fiction and excited me so much to begin a dedicated exploration of his work: MAXIMALISM.
Moore advocates for fashioning one’s writing in a mode as intentionally complex and challenging as possible. This is the opposite of Hemingway-style minimalism, and totally counter to the journalistic tradition I’ve lived in for years with tight word limits. And so I’m now on board.
Moore names the spring that has produced this flowing water: Iain Sinclair, who he proclaims the greatest writer in the English language today and his favorite living author.
I’ve picked up my first two Sinclair books now — one which I actually had shipped from the U.K. — and it became clear very quickly why Moore says what he does. Within a few pages of Sinclair’s Lud Heat the unique, flaming energy of his prose was apparent. I was hooked. I can’t recall a book that reads with such velocity. Now I’m going to have read all of his books as well as Moore’s.
I’ve begun to deploy this approach here on Substack. I’m not going to worry anymore about trying to simplify what I’m saying or make things quicker and easier. No, we’re going the opposite way: longer, more complexity, more depth, more literary flame and sudden twists. To hell with email length. One of the ways this tradition manifested in the Bullshit Salesman piece about Ben above is my deployment of the old fashioned blogosphere “fisking” approach wherein one provides a detailed, point-by-point rebuttal of another’s piece. I did that with Ben’s rant against pot smokers and it seems the appropriate method to resurrect from the grave with a necroancer’s regularity now that I’ve embraced the maximalist literary tradition.
So let’s give Tucker Carlson’s newest overt expression of antisemitism with this “goyslop” slur the necessary fisking it warrants:
Tucker: We’re going to play you a clip from someone from whom we try not to play a lot of clips. It’s Ben Shapiro. We’re going to play it in just a sec. But before we do, just a caveat. We’re not playing this to suggest that Ben Shapiro is like a shaper of history, a mover in American politics. He’s not. He’s an employee like most everybody else. He’s doing what he’s told. He represents larger interests obviously. So why bother to replay and then rebut something that Ben Shapiro said? Well, in an effort to speak to the people who put him up to it.
Tucker claims that Ben is “an employee” who “represents larger interests.” He says that the purpose of this monologue is to counter “the people who put him up to it.”
Tucker does not identify these shadowy “interests” behind Ben. He broadly implies that it is a secret cabal of secret Jewish puppetmasters, but he does not say so overtly because doing so would provoke a band from YouTube, shatting a central revenue stream in his operation.
So instead he has to just signal the same point more obliquely.
So, the whole point of Ben Shapiro, and there is a point to Ben Shapiro, this is not like some organic phenomenon like Ben Shapiro was just so charming and brilliant that he somehow got into Harvard Law School and then eyebrows and all emerged as a social media titan.
You have to hand it to Tucker, he’s come up with an amazing new antisemitic conspiracy theory for the idiots of the world: Ben did not get into Harvard on his own merits, but instead these shadowy interests somehow got him admitted when he otherwise did not deserve it.
Who ever has suggested that Ben is not the genius he has so obviously appeared as his entire life? Tucker, do I need to embed the 12-year-old Ben playing violin on Larry King clip again? May as well:
And the period from when Ben graduated from Harvard in 2007 through when he and Jeremy Boreing launched The Daily Wire in 2015 was one of intense striving. Ben got plenty of help as he climbed up the mountain to the summit of millennial conservative influence — including in a few key ways from me as I detailed in the previous piece — but no one can dispute his genuine talent that enabled it.
No, of course not. Ben Shapiro had a deal with Facebook, a deal no one else got. And so the point of Ben Shapiro was here’s a way to send a very specific message to outline and sell a very specific worldview to young people.
The Daily Wire did manage to leverage Facebook to grow better than any other conservative website, but of course Tucker’s summary that they got some sort of special treatment is nonsense. If the content is not what people want then it does not matter how or if Facebook puts its thumb on the scale. One does not have to like the Daily Wire’s content — and I was not a particularly big fan even when I wrote for them, but of course was not the target demographic — to respect that they managed to find their audience.
Ben Shapiro is an old person’s idea of a young person.
Ben is how a 42-year-old father who built a company now worth between $750 million and $1 billion.
This critique was valid back in 2013 when Ben and I were 29 and he and Jeremy had just started Truth Revolt as a right-wing counter to ex-conservative journalist-turned-Clinton-Hatchet-Man David Brock’s progressive activist group Media Matters for America. But it oviously doesn’t work today in the age in which Gen-Zers have arrived.
He is a spokesman for a group of older people aimed at younger people. ‘I have an idea. Let’s get Ben Shapiro. This guy Ben Shapiro, he’s he’s brilliant. He’s a really promising young kid. and we’ll get him to sell free market economics and a robust Reaganite foreign policy to the young folks.’
Here again, Tucker puts forward a Learned Elders of Zion-style conspiracy theory. He wants to imagine and promote the childish fiction that there is some group of Jews and plutocrats who engineered Ben’s rise artifically when his talent otherwise does not warrant it.
Now, a few sands of truth do blow in the wind here in that much of the early seedfunding for The Daily Wire came from the Texas frackers the Wilks brothers, and much of the motivation in doing so appears to have been to lift up Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-Texas) doomed 2016 presisdential run against Donald Trump in 2015.
However, this initial funding did not buy as much influence as many suspect. The Daily Wire quickly started sustaining itself with its own profits. Jeremy and Ben willed The Daily Wire into what it has become on their own skill and merits.
And by the way, it kind of worked for a while thanks to the trans movement, which you suspect they also kind of concocted this same group, but whatever, wherever that came from.
Here we have another bit of eyebrow-raising antisemitsm from Tucker again slipped in with subtlty. He’s suggesting that the Jewish conspiracy is supposedly behind the rise of transgender people and their growing social tolerance. As with the goyslop conspiracy that Jews are secretly behind Ameriasn obesity, this simply directs anger about a hot topic issues toward the Jewish people as a scapegoat.
For a while, Ben Shapiro seemed like he was on the side of common sense and he’s for free speech and he’s against the trans lunacy, etc., etc. But always from day one, the point was Ben Shapiro is going to sell this very specific version of economics, not capitalism. It bears no resemblance to anything Adam Smith advocated for. But the kind of modern American monopoly arrangement where six companies can behave like countries, have sovereignty unlike our own nation, and control every part of your life through debt which is kind of broad but fairly accurate definition of our current economic system.
This is Tucker saying “the Jews control the economy, it is built to enslave ‘normal Americans’ and they prop up Ben Shapiro to sell it to the young.”
Newsflash: six companies is the very opposite of a monopoly.
For any company to count as a monopoly then it usually needs to control 70%+ of the market for a court to deem it as such.
But Tucker knows his audience is too economically illiterate to understand that. All they grasp is that they are in more debt than they would like and they want someone else to blame for it. The Jews are always the primary target here.
So, sell that and then sell the even harder-to-pitch-idea that it’s unpatriotic to oppose wars for Israel.
It’s worth pointing out here that The Daily Wire’s primary audience is Evangelical Christians (25-30% of the U.S. population) and they remain overwhelmingly pro-Israel, a position which they will never abandon given how deeply theologically ingrained it remains. The Daily Wire will always have a significant chunk of the country to sell its media wares for at least the next 20 to 40 years. Ben can probably make it until he needs to retire to spend more time with his future grandchildren.
Like, first of all, it’s obviously antisemitic. I mean, it’s just an expression of hate if you don’t want to regime change some country you can’t find on a map. Obviously, you’re a bigot. You’re basically a Nazi. In fact, you must be for Hitler. You probably are opposed the Second World War, too. You probably have problems with Churchill.
Here Tucker is trying to conflate his anti-Israel views with his anti-war views, dishonestly suggesting that those opposing his antisemitic rhetoric are actually attempting to smear him for his opposite to the Iran war.
Never mind that the criticism of Tucker’s embrace of this antisemitic marketplace (30% of Americans, so roughly the same size as The Daily Wire’s Evangelical base) began long before Trump made the collosal mistake of staring the war with Iran.
It’s literally immoral to oppose Ben Shapiro’s employers’ foreign policy, but it’s also un-American.
Here it becomes pretty clear that Tucker is accusing Ben of working for Israel itself and valuing Israel more than the United States — the typial antisemitic dual loyalty charge.
Like this country was founded to fight wars for Israel. That’s why we’re here. I mean, our founders said explicitly, ‘America exists as a Judeo-Christian country to support Israel.’
Okay? So, whatever whatever prime minister of that country wants, we’re doing. I mean, that’s why we’re here. So if you’re against it, you don’t believe in America. You’re against America. Why don’t you just leave? Maybe we’ll revoke your green card. Oh, don’t have a green card? We’ll strip your citizenship. And that’s what ICE exists to do.
Tucker pivoting to an explicit anti-ICE stance seem like an effort to position himself, as some have started to discuss, as a Horseshoe figure who can attract those on the left too. It’s a pretty daring gambit that I doubt will work, but it’ll be interesting to watch him try. It’s a fair question if opposing ICE will get him more leftists than he’ll lose to his right with his existing Nativist base. My initial impression is that this will not work for him, that too many left-wing people find him too repellant and won’t trust his gestures toward progressivism and Chomskyite foreign policy analysis.
Now, in any case, you should know watching this that these are not just Ben Shapiro’s opinions. The extent he actually has opinions, who knows? But these are the opinions of the people who prop up Ben Shapiro, who created Ben Shapiro. And this is what they think.
I have to admit, this is just really weird.
As with my suggestion previously that Ben in many ways performs a character and the views offered are so absurd they can’t really be believed, this seems to more and more be the case with Tucker too. We know that while at Fox he promoted stuff he didn’t believe in — such as the election fraud claims — so it’s entirely sane to suspect the same thing here.
The idea that some shadowy cabal has just propped up Ben’s career and controls him like a puppet is massively dumb and Tucker knows it. Those who have really followed Ben’s career can see pretty clearly what I demonstrated in my previous piece on him and those who have worked with him can attest to: the only real conspiracy Ben is engaged in is to make money to support his family. That’s what it was about for our mentor David Horowitz and Ben learned many secrets from him, as I did. We just walked away having discovered different lessons and insights. The really odd thing which ended up happening for me — something that likely puts me largely alone among David’s proteges — is that I received a very heavy dose of Peter Collier’s influence. I worked with him closely for much of my time at the Center and have been heavily influened by the titles from the publisher he founded, Encounter Books. I still have many of his books to read — including his novels and biographies — and I now take him far more seriously than David as an author and thinker. Peter was the real literary genius and the true secret behind David’s success. Peter’s influence on David’s prose is clearly apparent once you know how to see it after reading his solo writing. There’s a huge reason why Peter’s name appears first in their series of dynastic biographies.
Their partnership is sort of similar to what Ben and Jeremy’s was. As Peter stayed more in the background building the Freedom Center and bringing elite level creativity and publishing experince, Jeremy built The Daily Wire, providing its skeleton and brains while Ben merely contributed its face and too-fast-talking mouth.
This is the argument they sincerely believe apparently is going to appeal to young people who are worried about the price of burritos. Watch this Ben Shapiro clip…
Having considered the commentary above, you can now see clearly the set-up in which Tucker launches in to his critique of Ben’s obviously hyperbolic endorsement of Del Taco. He’s framed Ben as the spokesperson for the Jewish cabal.
So the way Tucker can now frame Ben is that anytime Ben says something he dislikes, he can highlight and the attribute it to the elite Jews who allegedly control Ben. He can get his audience to hate Jews broadly by pointing out things about Ben which are annoying.
This is the tradition right-wing demonization game. It was run on gay people in the 1980s-2000s and then on trans-people staring in the 2010s and now running through the 2020s. (I wonder who the next sexual boogeyman will be.) The way this works is that the religious fundamentalist choose to highlight the most extreme members of the LGBTQ community and then suggest they represent the broader whole.
This technique has also long been used by racists to demonize Black people. White supremacists will obsessively highlight “black crime” to do the traditionally racist trope of depicting Black men as more dangerous, animalistic, sub-human, apelike, and primite than white men.
Ben Shapiro: Unfortunately, this has become the mode for a lot of young people. Why can’t I afford what my parents could afford when they were my age? Spoiler alert: when it comes to groceries, you can. And in areas, by the way, for housing where deregulation has been the rule, you still can. In fact, you have today more restaurant options. Your food costs less of your disposable income and it is probably significantly better. Here in the United States of America, we are fatter, richer, have nicer houses, nicer cars, and the food we eat is much, much better than it was for our parents in general. Our parents probably would have considered a $4.50 burrito at Del Taco a gourmet meal.
This is an example of how deeply tone deaf Ben is and the degree he exists in a bubble now. The costs of food and restaurants have risen tremendously in recent years. Perhaps Ben has not noticed as much since his faith limits him to Kosher options and it does not impact his family’s hosuehold when the price of food goes up since he is a millionaire now?
So even when Ben does provide an accurate observation — there are many areas where things are more affordable then they were in previous generation — he bungles the delivery.
And then he sabotages himself further as he often does, by going too hyperbolic.
Del Taco as a gourmet meal?
This is obvious hyperbole, but an example of how Ben often takes it to an absurd, self-parodying degree. If the exaggeration were funnier and more original then he could get away with it.
Now the extra funny part is that Ben is actually half-true here, though he’ll never know it since he cannot eat Del Taco’s true food item which one could argue is to a degree “gourmet.”
Del Taco also offers its own cheeseburger, and I am very happy to reveal that it is one of the great hidden gems of the California fast food world and pairs well with their very traditional crinkle cut fries.
I will say that it’s actually competitive with the more premium burger places like Shake Shack, Five Guys, The Habit, Freddy’s, and Culver’s. It’s more simple certainly, but has its own distinct, satisfying flavor. This guy gets it and says 4/5 which is accurate, though I’d probably go up to a 4.5/5 when they make the burger well. There’s generally some variability depending on which Del Taco you go to, with some I’ve found much stronger consistently than others.
Tucker: Your parents would have considered a $4.50 taco at Del Taco a deal because your parents were proles. They were pathetic. They were disgusting people and anything was enough for them.
Here we have to really understand that Tucker is responding directly to Ben, calling his own parents pathetic, disgusting proles. He’s trying to frame it as a broad, general statement that Ben is supposedly saying to everyone, but Tucker doesn’t really explicitly frame it that way so it can be interpreted implicitly as Tucker referring to Ben’s parents as “dirty Jews.”
This is one of the games that Tucker plays and the ironic thing is that he’s actually drawing from Nick Fuentes’ playbook.
Tucker is using a blend of humor and ambiguity to launder antisemitism to stupid people. He doesn’t have to say his points directly, he can just hint and blend with jokes to provide plausible deniability.
It’s sort of strange to see Tucker imitating Fuentes and adopting his methods to go after that bigoted audience.
You don’t want to use the term “goyslop” but it does seem kind of appropriate in this specific instance.
And here it is. Tucker is using a naked antisemitic slur which originated on hateful message boards. And he doesn’t just speak it here, but as noted and reported above, he picks this phrase of them all to use in the image of his YouTube video.
He is depicting Ben as the lead spokesman of the Jewish “goyslop” conspiracy theory which supposedly seeks to make Americans fat and weak by feeding them fast food so that Jews can more easily dominate over them.
Tucker knows exactly what he’s doing.
He played the act back when he was the weakest co-host on CNN’s Crossfire 22 years ago, he played the act in Fox News when he peddled far-right propaganda, and he’s still playing the act now on his independent podcast with promoting antisemitic conpsiracy theories from his barn in Maine which he imagines is haunted as I detailed in this piece from last month:
“They would be grateful for a Del Taco. What are you complaining about?” It’s hilarious, but it’s the first line that really does catch your attention. He says it is fashionable this mode among young people to complain that life is more expensive than it was for their parents. So here you have this whole new generation, this entitled, fat, lazy, tattooed, drug-addicted, screen-mesmerized generation that has no idea what’s good for itself, but is all about entitlement, whining, and entitlement. And the main thing they think they’re entitled to is a life as good as the life their parents led. Who gave them that idea?
Of course, that used to be, I think it was referred to euphemistically as the American Dream. And the American Dream was the idea that your children might have a better life than you had. And yes, not just spiritually, but materially. They might have the things that you wanted but couldn’t have.
That’s why you work hard to give them opportunities.
But Ben Shapiro is telling you ‘what? We never said that. Who told you that was a real promise? How dare you want what your parents had? Who do you think you are? Eat your Dell Taco and be happy. $4.50 for a Del Taco. What a deal.’
Here Tucker is suggesting that the so-called “American Dream” is now unattinable and the reason why is Because of Ben’s “employer,” the secret Jewish gabal which seeks to enslave white working Americans through debt and fast food.
The actual conspiracy against Americans and truth about the “American Dream” comes in this George Carlin clip:

And you know how we know it’s a good deal?
You know how you know America’s thriving? Cuz it’s fatter.
By the way, if you live in China during one of the recent famines, during the cultural revolution, obesity was a sign of affluence. But of course, we don’t live in China during a famine.
We live in late-stage empire in the United States where obesity is not a sign of affluence, but instead a sign of discouragement and poverty. That’s the truth. It’s a sign most of the time of sadness, not of a thyroid condition, but of depression. So people who are depressed get fat. So if you want to know how your population is doing, measure their BMI. So a little weird for Ben Shapiro to say, “We’re doing great. We’re fat.”
Here Tucker again lies about Ben’s position. Ben obviously never suggested America’s obesity crisis was great, so much as defining its existence and what it means. A society has reached a unique level when its poorest citizens are not starving, but rather overweight because it is cheaper to buy calorie-dense unhealthy processed food than the more expensive, calorie-lighter fruits and vegetables.
We are a society in which the poor have to live on fast food meat and processed desserts while the rich can afford the fresh-picked greens. This is a sign of the unique achievement of American civilization.
But what is actually going on here is what is happening across our society on so many different issues, which is a rewriting of history in real time.
You just saw something happen. You saw, I don’t know, let’s just pick an example, Israel push Donald Trump into a war that hurts the United States that we cannot possibly win. That is all downside for us, but potentially upside for Israel.
There are multiple techniques Tucker deploys here. The first is the “you saw” device, trying to put his idea into his viewers mind by attributing it as something ovious. He does this a lot on his podcasts.
Secondly, there oviously is a whole lot of upside for America if the Islamic regime in Iran fell to be replaced by a liberal democracy which joined the international economic system. Businesses across industries wil make tons of money in Iran after the mullahs eventually fall and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard dies off, potentially in a similar way which the Mossad handle Hezbollah. And then Iran will no longer be the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism.
That would be the war with Iran, the regime change war that no one in America supported.
Currently a third of Americans support the war. This is Trump’s seemingly uncrackable base of steadfast true believers.
These are the people who I’ve joked for the last decade would continue to support Trump even if he, himself performed late-term abortions on the White House lawn in livestreams every day at Noon and ate the bloody, mutilated corpses of the dead babies covered in namebrand ketchup alongside his Big Macs and Diet Cokes.
And you watch that happen at the end of February of this year. But within days they were telling you, “What? Are you an antisemite? That didn’t happen. Israel didn’t push Trump to war with Iran? Were you saying Trump has no agency? Are you saying Trump’s weak?” Well, obviously Trump is weak. That’s why he allowed the Israelis to push him to war. I mean, who doesn’t know that? Of course, he’s weak. But it doesn’t matter weak or strong. That’s what happened. And they admitted it happened and we saw it happen. And anyone who paid any attention at all had no doubt at all because it was true that that’s what happened. Israel pushed Trump to war with Iran. It’s not like there were critical American interests at stake. There weren’t. There are now.
What’s left unsaid here is that the Israelis always “push” American presidents to war with Iran here. That’s happened for every president this century. But none of them did it because the Joint Chiefs and other top military officials always explained why it likely would not work and what would happen with the Strait of Hormuz which the world has now witnessed. And there was never the political will for it.
Trump did not do it because he’s weak. He did it because he’s an idiot raised in a bullshit belief system masquerading as Christianity.
Trump did this because of his religious beliefs. People tend not to realize just how religious Trump actually is in practicing his faith every day of his life.
Trump was raised in Norman Vincent Peale Power of Positive Thinking pseudo-Christianity. He just believed through sheer force of his “positive thinking” he can will his desired reality into existence. And at this point it’s understandable while he would continue to believe this as the seeming results for him would have affirmed to him that this works given the impressive level of illegality the man in the big blue suit has perpetrated with no real consequences whatsoever.
Today this fraudulent belief system has evolved into the “Prosperity Gospel” tradition which names giving money to a preacher and praying for wealth as authentic Biblical practice.
But what’s interesting is that almost immediately after every big news organization in the United States started telling you what you just saw is not what you just saw. And if you thought you just saw that, the problem is you. “There’s something wrong with your brain and with your heart. You’re a hater. You must hate Jews.” Well, no, we don’t hate Jews at all. But that just happened. “Shut up.”
Tucker is trying to position himself as a speaker for “the people.” He is aligning himself with the broader popular anti-war sentiment and then trying to launder his anti-Israel sentiment with it. He’s suggesting that if one says they oppose the war then they will get smeared as an antisemite.
Never mind that tons of us Zionists oppose this war too.
And by the way, we haven’t seen polling on it, but it’s probably been pretty successful. If you scream at people long enough and persistently enough and tell them lies consistently enough, after a while, they kind of give up and believe those lies. You can change the collective memory about an event pretty quickly after that event occurred and then you can encode it forever in what we used to call the history books and we now refer to as AI, which is our collective consciousness, and forever after something that didn’t happen will be recorded as historical truth.
That can happen. We’re watching it right now.
Tucker concludes by suggesting that the Jewish conspiracy is supposedly able to rewrite history and deceive people into embracing lies en masse. He claims that Israel’s influence in this war will be concealed, as though that was actually possible somehow.
Let’s say it again bluntly: Tucker really doesn’t believe most of this stuff. He probably does believe some of it, but certainly not most because he is too smart and this is too absurd.
As with Ben, this is just him performing a character and with that obnoxious laugh he can’t contol that pops out of him like too many belches after guzzling too may 7-Ups, he resembles Heath Ledger’s performacne in “The Dark Knight”:
As Ben chooses to monetized his podcast by selling Bol & Branch bed sheets, Tucker instead chooses to sell Redmond Re-Lyte, a self-proclaimed “Hydration Electrolyte Powder.” A 15.45 oz can of this stuff costs $45.99:
You know, a lot of people hit that afternoon slump and immediately reach for another cup of coffee. Guilty. But is the answer always more caffeine?
