If you can’t trust someone to be honest with you about whether they write with AI then you can’t trust them to be honest about anything. Thank God for Pangram.
I Leave my AI detection on, but sometimes it tells me my writing contains a small AI percentage, so I have to rewrite my own work so that I can get a 100% me on my own work. It's not perfect for sure.

You’re an excellent writer. I want to tell you about this platforms AI detection. I went through some of my Notes from the last few days, ones that I used zero AI assistance on. Yet, the detection says 36% human. Some said 0% human. But I wrote them in Google Docs or on my phone in my Notes app. So I wonder if it’s picking up AI created images and weighing it that way? All I can tell you is that it’s faulty. And yes, I know part of this beautifully written piece is about our interaction. I’m a writer. Not at your level, no. But I’ve been writing my entire life. I published books long before AI. And I’ll be a writer long after this AI bubble bursts. Same as you.
Your work needs a wider audience. It’s magnificent.
Melissa, you are at a much higher level than me as a writer. Compare your number of subscribers to mine. Compare the level of engagement you get compared to me.
All the time I put into writing this piece was a waste of my time when I could’ve just had an LLM write something quick in 10 minutes. I probably won’t get one new subscriber from this.

Don’t quit. One thing I can think of is instead of writing one long article, break it up into parts. Leave a few things out and then use those to restack the article with added context. I’d love to have you guest post on my site if you’re interested.
Melissa, writing shorter articles doesn’t matter. The articles I wrote for The Algemeiner were normal and short and nobody answered them either. I’ve been ignored for years.
I can’t make a living doing this. I can’t even get moderate levels of responses.
A guest post would be nice, I suppose, but what am I going to say? “I spent the last 3.5 years writing about antisemitism. It was a waste of time. I didn’t get affirmation from people that it mattered. I’m now going to go apply to work at Walmart instead.”
I am seriously at the point of quitting. What should I say in this guest post that would inspire people to care?
I could not even get people to care when my wife had miscarriage 7 on Thanksgiving. People are just focused on themselves nowadays.
You mentioned something about how we have more to worry about from the alt Right than radical Islam. What about writing that. Or shortening one of your older articles formatted for my Substack? It’s up to you. No pressure. I have an amazing network and I feel like your voice would fit right in.

Melissa, that note sounds like AI. It doesn’t sound like a human person wrote it. It reads very artificial. I get paid to do LLM training projects. LLM writing is not very hard to spot once one has read enough of it.
