I don't have a paid AI version but I also want to preserve my own authenticity and not have it replaced by the machine. I know all these are loaded terms but because I have no author whom I want to mimic, I do not want to "teach" AI to be me. May I say, I choose to be weirdly self? With a chance to be different today from tomorrow and day before today?

I am not telling you to write things for it. I am telling you it can help you brainstorm ideas for your writing and help your organize your thoughts and research more easily.

How am I not preserving my authenticity by using AI to help with my writing and image creation for this publishing company?

It's not about teaching AI to be you, it's about teaching AI how to HELP you. It is a tool. It is just a typewriter or a word processor but much more advanced. Don't be afraid of it.

I don’t have a publishing company and I don’t create images so maybe I am just missing the point? My point is that in my “playing “ with ChatGPT, it changed the intended meaning. Is it understanding subtleties and humor? So, my initial comment was that ChatGPT lacks nuance. My further comment was making sure that I sound as myself (authenticity) even if I sound imperfect or grammatically imprecise (though the latter fact is less acceptable). So, me, myself and I want to be me, myself, and I. Research wise, I welcome some ideas, writing wise, not so much.
