Ehud, I have a long day of translating ahead of me, so just briefly: our forces strike a terror nest in Nablus or Jenin, kill four or five terrorists and prevent an imminent attack. The PA calls it a war crime and demands that The Hague goes after us. The State Department criticizes it as an "escalation." Jerusalem should say nothing?

Each year US and other campuses around the world erupt in Israel Apartheid weeks driven by the BDS movement. Pro-Israel writers and activists shouldn't respond?

In a Gaza war, the world media presents us as ruthlessly killing civilians. Israeli govt. and others shouldn't respond?

And yes, being human, sometimes we screw up terribly and make our exacerbate our own problems, and that has to be written about too. The runup to the Yom Kippur War. The "Oslo process" leading to terror onslaughts. The current govt., which has been predominantly awful for months and is causing us great social, diplomatic, economic, and very possibly security damage. Has to be written about too. I am "pro" some of my best friends while knowing they're far from perfect.
