As MAGA world roars about the denial from the administration that the late sex criminal kept a "client list," here's some reality on one of this century's most sordid stories.
FYI: Very interesting info in the NYT's new Epstein story: Wayne Barrett's papers are also archived at UT's Briscoe center. He had a letter relating to Epstein not previously reported.
I think you should start by reading the entire piece. I've been an avid VF reader since it relaunched in print in 1983, and read that piece back when it came out in 1989.
I found it interesting that EJE doubted that Jeffrey Epstein was hiding money for Adnan, or that the latter was an arms dealer. VF doesn't play on fact-checking, and the very wealthy Adnan Khashoggi was not an unknown figure.
Unfortunately, Dominick Dunne is dead, but there may be people in the story (starting with Pamela Bordes, the source of that quote) you can chase down. If they're still around.
The Dolph Briscoe Center at the University of Texas has Dunne's papers. You may be able to find notes re this story in that cache.
> "When I first met Jeffrey, way, way back in 1987, he talked about Khashoggi. Adnan Khashoggi"
Adnan Khashoggi is the only person we know for sure that Epstein worked with/for after he was ousted from Bear Stearns (IIRC for the ponzi scheme that sent Steve Hoffenberg to prison, but don't quote me on that being the exact reason for the end of his Bear tenure)
i would just start on wikipedia. he's a well documented and extremely notorious arms dealer from the 80s who played a role in a lot of scandals (e.g. Iran/Contra)

Vanity Fair (1989):
[Adnan] "Khashoggi has all these deals going, and he needs a lot of girls for sexual bribes."

Much appreciated. What do you make of this?

Where should I begin in my research into Adnan, do you think?

Does he have any key crypto links?
no, he died a long time ago. epstein probably took over some portion of his business.
Says he died in 2017. That would not have been that long ago and he could have had Crypto ties.
huh interesting, my bad. maybe he was an early adopter of bitcoin lol.
