Photos of the Hostages Released on Saturday
Again, we have some good news this weekend. Hopefully there will be more to celebrate later today.
This is the 8th installment of the new “Axis of Genocide” series at this Zionist Substack, the successor to the “Antisemitism and Culture” series which can be read in two 30-essay collections here and here.
This new series will document and analyze the antisemitic genocidal war waged against Israel by the Hamas terrorist group and its primary supporter, the Islamic regime in Iran. The accomplices in this attempt at a second Holocaust — Vladimir Putin’s criminal-gangster state in Russia and the authoritarian regime in China — will also come in for scrutiny and loud condemnation, as will the non-state actors supporting them, particularly the international Muslim Brotherhood propaganda network, and radical activists of both the far left and the far right. Other evil states and terrorist groups will also receive scrutiny. You can find a list of previous installments at the end of this post. Thank you for your support.
You can read here about the hostages released on Saturday.
Having looked through the names and photos of the hostages released yesterday, I find this group a more bittersweet one than the last.
While women, teenagers, and children were released…
Families remain divided. Noam Or and Alma Or were released, but their father Dror in the middle there remains captured.
Of brother and sister Itay and Maya Regev, so far only Maya has been released. Likewise, with the Shoham family below, the children and mother were released, but the father was not.
An American child was also released, she was also not among the hostage posters:
Biden said the 4-year-old hostage, Abigail Edan, had witnessed her parents being killed by Hamas fighters during their Oct. 7 raid into Israel and had been held since then.
"What she endured is unthinkable," Biden said at a news conference in the U.S.
I am not sure yet who the four Thais were released on Saturday. When I find out then they too will be noted - there are many of them still among the posters…
