The first time I cooked for Bonnie, it was in my first apartment after moving back to Cali after... yadda... Anyway.
Living in a little garage converted into an apartment, I made her my dad's spaghetti meat/red sauce. Made it again for us in a little motel kitchenette in Arizona when we were driving out to San Antonio four years ago.
Now, with her fresh herbs, and my tweaks to the recipe over the years, it's going to be the first meal I cook for us in the new house. Along with freshly baked bread.
She said her Gram would have loved it. I feel like an honorary Sicilian.
Oh, and she’s making her family meatball recipe.

What, no recipe? I think if you are making readers hungry you could maybe share. I haven’t had a really good Sicilian meat sauce since I was living in NOVA. Please share recipe?
