OK, I had to hijack Mike Kilgore’s Mike Music Morning feature again as last week I came across a really phenomenal cover of one of my favorite George Harrison classics. BILLY PRESTON doing “My Sweet Lord.”

I’d also offer one of my favorite tracks as a bonus - even though I’m sure I’ve featured it here before - which also qualifies as a “pop music hymn,” courtesy of Mick Jagger’s solo album. The music video - directed by the legendary music video director Mark Romanek - is also a damn good one too:
