As the founder and leader of a former multi-ethnic immigration law enforcement advocacy group, The Minuteman Project, I am proud to say that the federal law enforcement (ICE, FBI, DEA, DOJ) campaigns currently being conducted in Minneapolis are not happening in my heavily populated community in Southern California.
The reason my community is not being swarmed with law enforcement is because we do not have the criminal elements and criminal conduct apparently common to Minneapolis.
As for those so-called "protestors," who deliberately interfere with law enforcement officers who are simply trying to maintain a civilized law-abiding society, I have some sharp words for them.
I am a very well-known, and extremely effective, political activist whose goal was to simply bring national attention to the "illegal" alien invasion of the USA several years ago.
While I was met with passionate support from "legal" immigrants and American citizens alike, I was literally attacked by the so-called "progressive" Democrat Party loons.
My freedom to speak at some universities and public events were vehemently stopped by riotous people who eagerly decided I had "no right" to speak, and people had "no right" to listen to me.
My car window was smashed with a bat. My car was keyed on another occasion. I dodged downpours of dangerous airborne rocks and bottles. My home was vandalized. My neighbors had posters attached to their homes and vehicles claiming that I was a Nazi organizer of some sort.
Every place I appeared to speak required a huge presence of uniformed police officers who arrested and jailed several dozens of riotous protestors who were determined to stop freedom of assembly and speech with any violence necessary.
I have a litany of other examples of being victimized by wrong-headed, mean and violent people with extremely low IQs.
Now,let me reflect back on some personal history. I am the recipient of the Purple Heart for bullet wounds sustained as a volunteer Marine Corps infantryman in the Vietnam War. And you are going to tell me I have "no right" to assemble...I have "no right" to speak in public or express my opinions?
Only true Nazi-like persons act that way. Only incurable haters and bigots conduct themselves in such a "regressive" way. That is the trait of a Fascist.
In conclusion, my opinion of the Minneapolis, Portland, and New York City, etc. people who conduct themselves in such a humiliating way is that they are savage-like sub-humans who would rather kill someone rather than read a book. Not too bright.

I live in Washington DC, but we have had some extreme rhetorical shenanigans here too and protesters in the streets acting like boneheads when the National Guard was sent in.
I spent a total of 15 years living in Wisconsin, mainly Madison & Milwaukee. There is a special place in my heart for the Midwest. It’s sad for me to watch much of the civility that I loved about the region go away. Or maybe that’s an exaggeration. As you and Elizabeth demonstrate.
