The first two Star Wars movies were the greatest, after that it was steadily downhill.
One could stop at Return of the Jedi, and miss the rest.
If it wasn’t for John Williams, Star Wars would have been forgotten by now.
It would have been better if George Lucas had left his original movies alone.
Minus some better special effects, Lucas’ updates did not improve the movies.
Han Solo had every right to fire first.
Grand Moff Tarkin/Peter Cushing was the best villain in the original movie.
Darth Vader had the odd effect of making a villain cool.
Stormtroopers were super cool until Return of the Jedi (then they were handily beaten by walking teddy bears).
Return of the Jedi would be just as great as the first two if it wasn’t for the dialogue.
Return of the Jedi is a good movie in spite of the fighting teddy bears.
Seeing Princess Leia in her slave outfit was as uncomfortable as seeing your sister in a tiny bikini.
The bad guys having mostly English accents works for some reason.
The Rebels having American accents works too.
It would have been better not to know how Darth Vader became Darth Vader.
The idea of the Clone Wars sounded so cool in 1977, but not so much after Episode II.
Yoda was much better as a puppet.
Yoda is less likeable in the prequals.
The ship designs in the original trilogy were the greatest; it was downhill ever after.
The AT-AT was the greatest, most memorable vehicle in all of Star Wars.
The coolest feature of the lightsaber is its sound.
The lightsaber would be most useful as a secondary, not a primary weapon.
Most lightsaber users would likely have lost at least one limb in the process of training.
The pod race in Episode I never seems to end.
The prequals might be great movies if it wasn’t for the dialogue.
George Lucas should never have sold the franchise to Disney.
All the other Jedis are kind of lame.
The less said about the new movie trilogy the better.
The feckless return of the AT-ATs in recent Stars Wars lessened their appeal.
The Mandalorian’s main appeal is that he is a father figure.
Baby Yoda’s most interesting trait is that he is not a vegan.
Boba Fett was at his best in Empire; after that it was downhill.
It would have been better to leave Boba Fett inside the Sarlacc.
Star Wars originally appealed mainly to men.
To expand the audience appeal, Disney decided to make it appealing to women and this worked for a time, but in the process they destroyed the brand.

For some reason when my daughter was a few months old I watched all the Star Wars movies in order as kind of background noise. In order means in the timeline of events of the movies.
1. I agree
2. Pretty much agree.
3. I don't know, but John Williams certainly did a great job with the soundtracks. I think the special effects alone would have made the movies significant.
4. Completely agree
5. They made the movies noticeably worse!
6. 200% agree
7. Disagree, Darth Vader was amazing.
8. Which is why Darth Vader is the best villain in the original movie
9. Agree, but they sucked horribly at shooting anything even in the first two movies.
10. Return of the Jedi is more cheesy than the rest, its not just the dialogue, its all of it.
11. I actually think the Ewoks make the movie better, they are a good edition to the franchise.
12. Yeah its creepy, not sexy. That was the intention I think. It made Leia strangling Jaba even better. People who find that part sexy are either ignoring or not understanding the context...or are like a 14 year old boy.
13. Agreed
14. Agreed
15. Probably correct.
16. Phantom Menace was straight up bad. Attack of the Clones was boring until the very end, and was overall mediocre and forgettable.
17. Agreed
18. Agreed, I believe that is by design. The Jedi in general were unlikeable.
19. Agreed.
20. Maybe? It is pretty memorable.
21. Maybe? Light swords are just cool all around.
22. Not when wielded by a Jedi where they can use their force powers to defect lasers back at the targets.
23. Maybe? Also Star Wars shows that in the Star Wars universe losing a limb isn't the biggest deal in the world as they can fix that pretty easily.
24. Episode I seemed to last forever, so agreed.
25. They get progressively better from bad to mediocre to mediocre+(borderline good) there is far more badness going on beyond the dialogue.
26. Agree? Maybe technically too soon to tell, but its looking that way. Mandalorian is good at least.
27. I think some of the other Jedis are cool, I think. Usually the cool ones are not even Jedis."
28. The New movie trilogy was the opposite of the prequels, Good to Mediocre to Dumpster Fire. So yeah lets not talk about them.
29. The AT-AT while cool is a bad design, can be easily taken down.
30. The plot is generic. It's "Lone Wolf and Cub" in a Star Wars universe. It's been done to death but its still good. Last of Us has a similar plot and is great as well. We all like an awesome father figure/mother figure in our shows and movies it always works.
31. I don't know I think his most interesting feature is his budding force powers.
32. Agreed.
33. Agreed.
34. It still is, to this day. However my wife likes Star Wars more than me.
35. I don't know. You are probably right. They could have done it if they had made most of their output...good. I think its a good idea to try and expand the audience, you just have to do a good job of it. Man or woman no one wants bad movies and shows. I think the main problem is they clearly didn't plot out a trilogy with the movies first, they just winged it and its a mess. At least Lucas knew where he was going with the prequels.
I agree with you a lot as you see.
The Mandalorian is the best thing to come out of Disney getting the franchise. The Kenobi mini-series would have been great if it were not for it being incredibly anti-climactic as you knew that the "fight to the death" at the end wasn't going to involve any deaths.
