Click here to check out the first 30 Installments - Volume I - in this series on Antisemitism and Culture. The top 5 most important pieces from this first wave:

  1. What It Means When the Leader of the Republican Party Dines With THREE Antisemites

  2. What Causes Someone to Be an Antisemite?

  3. How the Bible Reveals the 3 Types of Antisemites

  4. 7 Reasons This Christian Hippie Became a Zealot Against Jew Hatred

  5. What Zionism Means to Me Today

This is the 26th installment in Volume II, intended as another 30 pieces exploring the many manifestations of Jew Hatred and the issues surrounding it in America and globally. See the 25 previous installments listed at the end of this article.

These writings are part of my ongoing effort to overcome my PTSD by forcing myself to try to write and publish something every day. “Politics is downstream from culture,” the late Andrew Breitbart popularized among conservative bloggers while he was alive. I’d go a step further: Everything is downstream from culture. The cultures you embrace determine who you are and who you become. You become what you worship.

So I just had a realization: this new brief writer position that I started on May 1 with Jewish News Syndicate (JNS) is my first full-time writing position ever. All the other jobs and freelance gigs which I’ve had since beginning my full-time new media activist career in 2009 have had writing as a component of what I did but never as the primary task.

From 2009-2015 I was an editor, first at FrontPageMag and then at PJ Media. From 2016-2017 I was a researcher-writer-activist at the Middle East Forum, and from 2018-2021 I was director of research at The Israel Group (actually a half-time position which I supplemented with various freelance writing/editing/research gigs.) In all these roles I wrote a great deal but was always juggling it with other tasks.

So here’s what my first month of full-time writing looked like. This is not my complete output as many of my short articles run with the JNS byline. Ones which are longer or short ones with original interviews do run with my byline. And here they are:

Shorter Articles

  1. Pew: Wives earn more than or the same as husbands in 45% of marriages

  2. New budget in Indiana includes ‘major school-choice expansion’

  3. US Jewish, pro-Israel groups respond to death of Israeli civilian after rocket hits Rehovot

  4. New president of American Friends of Hebrew University is herself a student

  5. Inaugural Skirball rabbi-in-residence position a ‘once-in-a-lifetime opportunity’

  6. Kashrut website warns about fake kosher symbols in India

  7. Four years after Poway attack, Israeli paramedics train California synagogue staff

  8. Embrace IHRA antisemitism definition, 160 Jewish groups tell UN

  9. Central Shavuot text ‘all about kindness,’ says rabbi who published Arabic book of Ruth

  10. New Hadassah government-relations head to focus on maternal issues

Longer Articles

  1. Dallas Public Library head: ‘Nakba’ event was not approved; ‘it will not take place’

  2. Israeli anthropologists to pro-BDS, US colleagues: We’re already fighting the state

  3. Antisemitism ‘working definition’ not a ‘work in progress,’ say new IHRA co-presidents

  4. Dershowitz: Amanpour equating terrorists and victims is ‘beneath contempt’ - Yes, I actually got to interview Alan Dershowitz. He’s probably the most famous person I’ve ever interviewed.

Antisemitic Incident Reports

Each day I’m reviewing the antisemitism-related stories in the news. Ones which aren’t big enough or unusual enough for a brief article of their own get added to the weekly round-up.

  1. Antisemitic incident report: April 24-30, 2023

  2. Antisemitic incident report: May 1-5, 2023

  3. Antisemitic incident report: May 6-12, 2023

  4. Antisemitic incident report: May 13-19, 2023

  5. Antisemitic Incident Report: May 20-25, 2023
